Follow some to temporarily deactivate your Facebook account:
Log into your Facebook account: Open a web browser and visit the Facebook website (www.facebook.com). Enter your login credentials (email/phone number and password) to access your account.
Go to the settings menu: Click on the downward-facing arrow icon located at the top right corner of the Facebook page. This will open a drop-down menu.
Access the settings: From the drop-down menu, select "Settings & Privacy" and then choose "Settings." You will be directed to the Facebook Settings page.
Deactivate your account: On the left side of the Settings page, click on "Your Facebook Information." Then, click on "Deactivation and Deletion."
Choose to deactivate your account: Under the Deactivation section, click on the "Edit" button next to "Deactivate Account."
Select the reason and confirm: You will be asked to select a reason for deactivating your account. Choose the appropriate option or specify your reason in the text box provided. Then, click on the "Continue" button.
Confirm deactivation: In the next window, you will see more information about deactivating your account. If you still want to proceed, click on the "Deactivate" button.
Enter your password and complete the security check: Facebook will prompt you to enter your password to confirm the deactivation. After entering your password, you may need to complete a security check by solving a CAPTCHA or other verification method.
Once you've completed these steps, your Facebook account will be temporarily deactivated. During this period, your profile and information will be hidden from other users, and you will no longer receive notifications or appear in search results. You can reactivate your account at any time by simply logging back in with your email/phone number and password.
It's important to note that deactivating your account is different from permanently deleting it. If you want to permanently delete your account, follow the instructions in the previous response.
